How to Use
Export your conversations
ChatGPT: Settings → Data Controls → Export. Claude: Account → Privacy → Export. Extract the ZIP and find the JSON file.
Paste the JSON
Open the conversations.json file in any text editor, select all, and paste it into the box below. No upload needed — analysis is local.
Choose model and analyze
Select which model to price against and click Analyze. The tool estimates tokens from character count.
See your usage breakdown
View total conversations, messages, token estimate, and what this would cost at API prices.
Understanding your chat export
ChatGPT Plus and Claude Pro are flat-rate subscriptions — you don't pay per token. But this tool shows you what equivalent API usage would cost, which is useful if you're building an application and want to estimate costs from your own conversation patterns. A heavy ChatGPT user consuming 2M tokens/month would pay $5 at GPT-5 mini prices or $300 at GPT-5.4 prices.
